Last Chance - Memorial Day Sale!!

I completed another
Twilight Wristlet.

My husband came home from the grocery store Saturday and says "Kristen left her boyfriend, and her and Robert ran off to Italy together!!" Then he stands there looking at me in (mock) horror and surprise waiting for my response. My reply? Of COURSE they're in Italy together!! They just arrived there to film 'New Moon'. My husband cracked up laughing about the things those rags print, like we're really supposed to believe everything they say.

Yet another post about Books, CDs, and Movies...

I am currently reading Captain Wentworth's Diary. Persuasion is my favorite Jane Austen novel. I just can't get enough of it - I even love both versions of the movie. Love it!! This Diary is written from Frederick's perspective, and begins from when he arrives and first meets Anne and is rejected by her - a full eight years before Persuasion begins. I am enjoying getting to see this tender, loving side of Wentworth, and learning more about his and Anne's courtship and short lived engagement.

Currently listening to Sooner Or Later by Rex Smith because I'm a dork. I love the movie too. Any woman out there around the age of 40-45 should remember seeing Sooner Or Later back in 1979. Come on, you KNOW you watched it!!! (I have the books too, all 3 of the series, because I'm a dork.) It's also been my feel good go-to movie for the past year or so.

Last weekend I watched Lost In Austen. I know there are people out there who are true Jane Austen fans who would never dare to like this movie. In Lost In Austen, the story follows Amanda, who lives in present day London. Her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, she reads it often, and actually has trouble finding (and keeping) a man in her life because none of them can live up to her ideal man, which is Mr. Darcy. Amanda ends up switching places (through time travel) with Elizabeth, and is literally dropped into the beginning of P&P!! Amanda immediately recognizes everyone and is well acquainted with exactly what is going on at any moment because she has read about it so many times. It's funny and very entertaining watching Amanda as she realizes that her actions have caused events from the book to change drastically!! If you have ever wished for Mr. Darcy for yourself, you must see this movie.

I love him!!!!!

I love him. I love him. I love him. Don't you love him, too?

Monday, Monday

Why couldn't I have been the one to find THIS??? Yeah, I'm just not that lucky. And I wasn't downtown hanging around outside hotels and looking into nearby trash cans. So the chances of me finding it were pretty slim to begin with.

Unproductive week...

I've had a busy week, but not Etsy (work) related stuff. My daughter's Show Choir Concert was last night. (She's the tall one here in this photo.) She's had practice after school Monday-Wednesday, and that along with doing homework with my son every evening, and my day is pretty much gone.

I did manage to finish up a few pouches from last weekend, so I will be listing those this evening. Now I am off to my daughter's school where I work part time. Today is Field Day and it is raining, so I'm sure the kids (and adults) will be grumpy.

Amy Butler Belle & Lotus Fabric

is being discontinued!! Tragedy. I love both of these lines so much. I suppose these lines are going away because she has a new line coming out this fall. I have bought and used too many yards of these lines to count. Now I think I need to stock up before the prices get jacked up!!

Some of my favorites from the Belle line are pine coriander, duck egg french wallpaper, and pink coriander.
From the Lotus line I really like sky temple garland, linen morning glory, and any of the full moon polka dots.

Edward / Robert Pattinson

I NEED an Edward Cullen action figure. I've hinted about how nice it would be for him to arrive in my Easter basket. And I've promised not to take him around with us on any 'family' adventures. (I'll have to do that one on my own - the family is just NOT going to help me.)

How much do I love my Christmas gift from my daughter - Scruffy Dog - aka Robby. My daughter informed me that Scruffy Dog's hair looks just like Robert's. I tend to agree with her. Robby makes me happy. And, no, I don't sleep with him. Why would you think such a thing?

Speaking of Robert, I can't say just how much I adore this photo. I'm having terrible issues with it though. I can't see his face so my eyes keep roaming down his body... to 'other' areas that I find interesting. Not everyone's cup of tea, but there you go. As I quietly hang my head in shame and admit that I never thought I would be so shallow.
