Sunny Sunday

As I am typing this today, my husband is off delivering more trash cans (yes, trash cans) to T.R. Hughes Ballpark for this: http://www.johnmccain.com/RoadtoConvention/MO.htm

We all know how important it is to have enough trash cans at an event such as this, so my husband is a VIP. Good luck getting past the FBI. I asked him to take the camera and take pictures for me, but he was afraid the FBI wouldn't like that. Hmph. What's the point of having a presidential candidate in your backyard if you can't have a picture of it for posterity????

Meanwhile, I'm at home avoiding my latest quilt. Well, I'm working up the gumption to get in there and actually quilt it.

Another week, another baby quilt

This time for a boy. I have decided to use my scrap pile of Amy Butler prints (no pinks!!) and make a scrappy quilt. The top is coming along nicely. I will post a pic when it is complete.

I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary at Etsy. Although, I didn't really start selling immediately when I joined. I sort of just hung around and figured things out first. Things are slow going lately, but I did have 3 sales this week. I'd like to have more!!

Pink Quilt Designs

So, my mother asked me if I would make a baby quilt for her to give to a co-worker. Confession: I haven't made baby quilts in a long while, I've been making bags, wallets, wristlets, etc. It all came back to me quite easily. The request was for a pink quilt, not too large. I kept it pretty simple, I used 5 Amy Butler prints on the front, and the backing is the Nigella pink fan print. The other thing I did different was use a zigzag stitch instead of a quilting stitch, and I even zigzagged the binding on. It was all pretty easy.

I just got a whole bunch of Farmer's Market that I am dying to make a baby quilt out of...

Ready, Set, GO!!!!

I've been meaning to start a blog for some time now, but never got around to it (for some reason). So here I go. Still not sure who's going to read it though. And I don't know if I'll have anything profound to say.

I hit 50 sales at Etsy recently and totally missed the big moment. Yay me!! Hopefully I get to 100 sales a whole lot quicker than I got to 50.

I need to finish up a few things I am working on and get them listed before school starts and my sewing time diminishes.
