A New Nintendo DS Case For My Daughter
My daughter asked for a new case for her Nintendo DS to use on our mini vacation, so I convinced her I could make one better than she could find at the store. It turned out really well. I used 2 layers of Pellon fusible fleece, and along with the layers of decor weight fabric, it is sufficiently padded. I added 2 interior pockets that close with velcro so her games won't fall out when she opens the case. She picked out this fabric and she is very pleased with how it turned out.

WINNER!!!!!
Everyone guessed the correct answer that this ferris wheel was originally at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch. Here is my daughter (on the right) riding in car #1. What a coincidence that the carnival opened on the same day that Michael died. I couldn't resist going and snapping a shot of something that has such a storied past. In my quest to verify that this was indeed Michael's ferris wheel, I found pictures and videos of it when the main body was painted orange. Now it has a fresh coat of green paint - so fresh that we couldn't even find any scratches on it!!

Stone Wildflowers

Does anyone else completely love Joel Dewberry's Stone Wildflowers from his Ginseng line? I've been envying everyone who has it and has been using it, because I couldn't justify spending $15.00 a yard for it. But I recently acquired it at dirt cheap prices and I am sooooooo very happy to finally have it!! I look forward to using it, and I have a new purse in mind for it.
I just completed a large custom order, and now I have another semi-large custom order to finish up. Then I plan on making a few purses for my Etsy shop using some of my Joel Dewberry Ginseng fabrics.
Have you seen this Rob pouch that I listed? He looks adorable here, don't you think? Visit my Etsy shop and purchase your very own Rob pouch to hold and cuddle. Or see the post below to enter the My Giveaway that is still going on!!

Robert Pattinson Crazed Mob Pandimonium
Did they get better security on the set of "Remember Me"? It doesn't seem as crazy around there as it did when they first started shooting. I feel really bad for Robert. Because you know if he expressed just how much he really hates being touched and grabbed by strangers, it would get turned around on him and make him look like he doesn't appreciate his fans or whatever. Just leave the poor guy alone.
Have you seen how good he looks in this movie? I thought he looked really good as Edward. A little stiff and formal, but some of that was to be expected of his character. But in these new photos of him on set he looks, well, yummy I guess you could say!!

Don't forget to look below for my current giveaway going on now!!

Time For A Giveaway!!!
I'm starting off July with a giveaway. I was going to blog about where I went last weekend, but then I thought I would make it a contest of sorts. Here is what you will get in the giveaway: A mini Twilight themed zippered pouch with I drive like a Cullen on it.

My husband and I took our daughter and her friend to Summer Fest in nearby Olivette. This ferris wheel was my main reason for wanting to go, the kids just wanted to ride the rides!! It's an interesting and timely coincidence that this ferris wheel should make an appearance on the very day of a huge news story. It came from a 'ranch' that was never open to the public.

For a chance to win this zippered pouch, leave a comment telling me where this ferris wheel originally came from. All correct entries will be entered into a random drawing. Contest ends Sunday, July 12, 2009.

Funny Twilight Video
My husband showed me this video after dinner tonight. I love how this was edited!! After I watched it, my husband and I had this conversation:
Husband: He looks good there.
Me: Huh?
Husband: Robert. He looks good.
Me: Uh...
Husband: You know? All pale and stuff? He looks really good.
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaay...
LOL. I have no idea what that was about. Except my husband knows how much I love Robert, so maybe he can finally see why I dig Robert so much, and he agrees with me on the hotness? Maybe...
I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but my husband really does support me and my crushes. I tend to go through phases, and he never fails to encourage me - in a healthy way, of course.

Drive Like Cullens Podcast
I've been listening to Drive Like Cullens podcast thanks to Lee Ann. It's a lot better than some of the other Twilight podcasts I've attempted to listen to. It's pretty easy to listen to and follow.
I must take this time to announce that I'm not fond of IPods. Maybe I should say that I don't care about them, or care if you have one, because they just don't impress me. I have a Sansa Fuze that I just love. My daughter has a Sansa Clip. My son has an older model Sansa. And my husband has a Zune (that we can't seem to fill up!!). To me, IPod is just a name brand, and I've never heard anything about it that impresses me all that much. Which is why I have my Fuze.
So I made something yesterday to fit an MP3 player in. It even has a little pocket for your headphones!! And a velcro closure so your stuff doesn't fall out. And it's Robert Pattinson. What more could you ask for????

Great book, not so great book, and 2 great movies...
I read reviews about 'Suzanne's Diary For Nicholas' and it was described as an emotional tear-jerker. That much is true - I was crying FOR IT TO END!!! The book itself was interesting, but I grew so tired of reading 'My dear sweet wonderful beautiful baby boy' and 'Darling Schmoopy Poopy' blah blah blah on and on with the endearments every other sentence. I get it. No need to beat me over the head with it. The diary is written to your son, whom you love very much. It just seems like half the book was spent describing "How much do I love thee? Let me count the ways..." The book was a quick read, a little over 2 hours, so maybe I didn't like it because of the love overload.
BUT, to regain my love of books, I picked up my copy of Romeo and Juliet. Can't go wrong with that one!! This is my second copy of this version of the book. I originally had this when I was much (much) younger. I think it was 'lost' during one of our moves by my husband who doesn't understand why anyone would read a book, much less why anyone would read a book more than once. I liked this version when I was younger because it has notes in the back of the book to explain words and phrases that are difficult to understand.
I recently watched 'Jane Eyre' and 'Sense and Sensibility'. These are the latest versions made by the BBC and released in late 2007 I believe. Both wonderful and highly recommended!!! You won't be disappointed.
